Services We Provide
TIP takes groups of individuals from sponsoring community organizations, on tours of correctional institution in an
attempt to provide a educational experience,provide an opportunity to engage in a discussion with staff and
inmates, while providing insight into life in prison. During discussions, it is anticipated that life and work experiences
will be revealed, with a focus of promoting self evaluation and redirection.

One of the services provided by TIP is an after school program. The goal of the after school program is to provide
and implement strategies that support the development of a socially responsible individual. Finally, our program will
encourage, parents, neighbors, and educators to participate in this program and ultimately the enrich the life of a
child.
Our program offers tutoring for SAT and high School exits exams. Computer will be available in the future.
As there have been major cuts in government funding to after school programs, the primary source for funding for
these type programs has become donations. After school programs within the city of Compton are limited. On
February 12, 2008, our program was presented to the Compton Unified School Board and we are making
arrangements to introduce the program at several schools within the Compton school district.

Participants are allowed to observe various court proceedings at the Los Angeles County Superior
Court, Airport Division. This activity is intended to provide insight into the possible consequences of
unlawful behavior.
