TIP is locally operated and governed by a Board of Directors. We are dedicated to
our mission and accomplishing our stated goals.
The Teen Intervention Program - TIP is a newly developed, non profit organization,
providing various services to Compton residents.
The purpose of the program is to assist in identifying and addressing the problems
associated with children, teenagers and young adults, including lack of education,
substance abuse and gang affiliations. Teen Intervention Program (TIP) provides
elements to induce change in attitude, behavior and outlook. The program will utilized
tours of correctional facilities, juvenile justice agencies, selected inmates, individuals
recovering drug addiction, community based and law enforcement agencies.
Our commitment is to provide services that improve the lives of youths.
Program Goals
To provide a method of intervention with a focus of reducing the number of youthful
individuals most likely to become involved with gang related activities, and/or
substance abuse.
To enhance self awareness and rehabilitation to both the youths and inmates
involved.
To create and promote a community based partnership between law enforcement.
